Yesterday we had people over for a pool and pizza party. Lucia invited several people from the church and we had a really good time. I am starting to learn and actually remember some names. Thanks Lucia for getting everything together!

Later the same evening I was invited to a traditional Brazilian bbq (not in the southern use of the word). It involves lots of red meat, sausage and rice.

My presence very often evokes a conversation among Brazilians about how crazy their language is.

The night ended with watermelon. I like eating watermelon when I don't have to worry how much of it ends up on my face.
