This morning I went to class with Lia at the Methodist University of Piracicaba. She had dance and handball. (Her major is physical education and she gets picked on as much as the Recreation majors at Appalachian ;)). Before class started the students arranged their desks in groups to sit close to one another. Watching the group dynamics of the class was hysterical. It was much like watching your average American sitcom about teenagers.

During the handball class, which was a practicum today, I sat on the sideline with a spunky Brazilian named Natalia. She knew English very well so we had a lot of fun teaching each other cultural expressions. We mainly spoke in Portuguese! (My accent is better understood by Brazilians who know English).

For dinner Tia Helena, Ivy, Lia and I walked down to a local sandwich shop. It has famous quotes painted all over the place and and smells of cappuccino.

We're off to Serra Negra again for my last weekend with the Lemes.
