My family, The Lemes, who I am staying with now consists of 5 people and one dog. Tio Sergio (Uncle in Portuguese), Tia (Aunt) Helena, Ana, Ivy and Lia. The dog is Teddy (pronounced Tejee). All of them have been more than hospitable. I like to practice my Portuguese with Teddy since he looks at me with puppy eyes no matter what I say or how I say it.

It is fun to be in a family of women. Even with this only being day four, I have started to joke and laugh with them, both in Portuguese and in English. Tonight we went out for dinner (Brazilian style pizza-yum!) and had a magnificent time. Now I am helping Aunt Helena with her English-Portuguese translation for her online class. I have enjoyed reading your responses to my update! Thank you for your kind words.
